The world of Kamos 1
Kamos is a Mother Deity of ancient Japan, symbolizes the creative energy
combining different things/souls.


カモスの世界
カモスとは、古事記や出雲国風土記にでてくるカミムスビノミコトのことです。
国宝の神魂(カモス)神社のある松江の地元民はカモッサンと呼ぶので、Kamosと綴りました。
ムスビとは「萌/燃/茂す霊」の意味といわれますが、新しくもえるいのちは、
「異なるものの結び」から生まれると日本人の先祖は信じ、
土器に縄文をつけたり、注連縄を編んで、生み出す力を敬ったのではないでしょうか。
出雲地方で縄文時代以来つづく神事や民間行事をスケッチしながらそう感じ、
夜明け前の日本、カモスが見守っていた世界を描きました。
出雲で学んだ日本文化の根っこの「異なるものを結んで未来を開く」知恵から、
地球語も出ています。




Yoshiko lived in a mythological area in Japan for 20 years,
searching and learning about what the origin of Japanese culture was like,
feeling ancient people's deep appreciations of nature through traditional rituals,
trying to make fire in the Stone Age way, twisting ropes from grasses by herself...
