You can change the details of this lyric to adjust to your language and
music, or you can make new one with other symbols. If children in
various countries like the song and drawing, they will keep the memory
and might use these common symbols when communicating each other over
the language walls in the future.
The Sun
In early 1980s, I had
lived in the countryside of Japan and couldn't use languages other
than Japanese.
One day, a neighbor invited me to see a visitor from Tuvalu in the South Pacific. Even though in deep snow, the young visitor in a seashell pendant was smiling in light clothes.
Hmm, how can I communicate with him? I happened to find a string there, and made it a ring to play cat's cradle. Wow, he took the string from my hand nicely for the next form, and began to play with it in a more complex way than I knew. In his island, all men and women play cat's cradle in the shade of trees, he gestured. Our communication immediately progressed with much laughter.
Even there is a language barrier, when finding out a common fond memory in childhood of both, we are able to feel close to each other at once.
If children draw some Earth Language picture-like symbols while singing the same drawing song together, what could happen in their future?
