To Spread Earth Language

. . . . . . . . .

In the middle of October, I knew about the Google Project 10 to the 100 which was calling for ideas to change the world by helping as many people as possible.
EL was submitted to it to be spread and to get a virtual forum for building the EL dictionary in a larger circle.

Chosen or not, the next step of EL has to be like the comments in that submission. So I'd like to share the idea here too. If you like this idea, please join to spread it around. And if EL is nominated as one of 100 best proposals, please vote for EL in the Google Project to realize the new world.
*They unexpectedly got more than 150 thousands of ideas, and the selection is much behind of their plan, they say.

# The Category Description, which EL applied:

Community>: How can we help connect people, build communities and protect unique cultures?

# Answers to the questions:

10. What one sentence best describes your idea? (maximum 150 characters)

Spreading a new thinking-system based on nature will systematically protect all languages, while helping global communications and raising creativity.

11. Describe your idea in more depth. (maximum 300 words)

I call the system "Earth Language" (EL) and have been building the concrete tentative plan for twenty years. Please see the EL website.

EL is a thinking method based on visual symbols for common elements of
human senses and nature, not for a particular culture. It works as the extension of all native languages, read in onefs mother tongue just like g1+2=3h is understood in different languages. EL's 70 bases are simply shaped and easy to memorize. By overlaying plural bases on top of each other, thousands of symbols are created for new concepts. EL symbols are hieroglyphics or show the combined meaning of its elements.

A traditional language is based on its local culture. So the users of EL based on nature always get another vision to consider, equally standing on both the local field and the earth. In this system, everyone naturally respects other cultures; and the human world can be truly global with no barrier.

Yes, our world is not that simple. Grammars and basic thoughts are varied; also the world is flooded with information. Besides, there are disability problems too. Even a healthy person today might suddenly get communication difficulty suffered by deafness, blindness or paralysis. No common language has managed for those things.

EL was planned for the future sustainable global world, having the flexible grammar, various ways for rationally managing information, the phonetic system to write how to pronounce any vocal sounds, and the multi-method to show a base with your hand, whole body, eyeball-movement, touch or a voice, without extra effort to learn. EL wants to resolve difficulties, which a local language has, all together.

Even if it's potentially good, EL can't be effective without spreading. This is a chance to bring EL to the attention of the world.

12. What problem or issue does your idea address? (maximum 150 words)

There has never been a true auxiliary language for "all earth people." A common vocal language has destroyed weaker traditional languages and cultures by spreading.

As long as a traditional language is commonly used, conflicts between minority and majority will never go away. Deaf and blind people must have unique senses because of their disability, but now we hardly have chances to listen to them. Helped by a social welfare, their worlds are dwindled.

EL can give all minorities a big hope to equalize their communications with others, widening their view. The world can involve their new passion and special ability for developing and spreading EL. After 9-11, the world has been in a dark terminal image; and yet starting a new thinking movement worldwide might give hope and energy to humanity.

13. If your idea were to become a reality, who would benefit the most and how? (maximum 150)

Every person on earth would equally benefit, opening their mind to nature and the global status, becoming easier to see the integrated world by thinking in EL, becoming able to communicate with anyone in any situation, getting new ways for various creations, etc.

A language is a vessel of thought. Through the fundamental images of EL bases, the users are tempted to see longer and sustainable visions. So they might be interested in seeking truth or beauty more than transient happiness. By their actions, the entire life system on earth might benefit with EL too.

14. What are the initial steps required to get this idea off the ground? (maximum 150)

The main thing is a virtual forum to elaborate the EL dictionary in the web2.0 and EL font usable condition. The dictionary includes all about EL; and the details are discussed among various cultures and scholarly fields. Settled parts should be viewable in as many languages as the participants.

But before starting this, two steps are needed for:
1) setting the technical background,
2) determining the grammar and phonetics.
Now EL is already usable but tentative as my proposal. The font is temporarily set for ease of memorization with the American keyboard. For building up the structure of EL, the brain had to be alone to integrate the entire EL universe. But now, EL wants all kinds of brains to check the unique EL ideas to be practical.

The forum continues building the dictionary, and using it, satellite forums would follow for various EL-used creations.

15. Describe the optimal outcome should your idea be selected and successfully implemented. How would you measure it? (maximum 150 words)

The EL project would never be complete, always growing with the world. It is not a short span project. Passing on EL to the next generation is a kind of duty for us having provided conflicts and pollution on earth, I think.

If luckily EL could get the attention worldwide, the era when EL mediates all cultures would come early. In the process, countless new jobs and products related to EL would be born and activate the world economy "without using national resources." In the process of networking for the dictionary, people would feel the joy of cooperation instead of stress with monetary competition. Knowing differences between cultures, they would understand each other better.

Contrary to ordinary languages, EL works personally even from the first day of knowing it. There are many approaches guided in the website. Even if it were a small use, all users would have some joy.
